12th Meeting for the term 2013-2014 'From The Heart' (17.12.13)

Season's Greetings Fellow Toastmasters, family & friends,

The cold weather makes me can't wait to get home, warm myself up, and spend time with my beloved brothers in front of the TV :)

This

12th Christmas themed Meeting of the Term 2013-2014 we have double the joy because, for the first time this term, we have a joint meeting! We are priviledged to have the chance to work with Mr President Gopi Muniandy of Kota Kinabalu Advanced Toastmasters Club and his Team of KKATMC Members.

Our TME Abu Bakar Sheriff keep the mood of the meeting at happy, as he injected his off-the-cuff jokes throughout his hosting... And oh, wasn't that a fun warm up session by our IPP Jamie Chieng and VPM Nora Liew... So cute you two :P

Speaking of these wonderful people, I'd like to convey a special thanks to Mr Bakar, Jamie, and Nora Liew. It was because of them, we hang on and went on with the meeting on the same evening. Thank you, for the extra effort in calling me, the role players, and the guests, and many more that you did to ensure that the meeting went on smoothly. :))

This lovely evening, we have a combination of role players from both clubs. Thank you for playing a role, and for being there! :))

Allow me to also thank our Executive Committee, our SAA Dean Yee for being there efficiently setting up the meeting room, Mr Treasurer Darvis Chong for welcoming the guests, and VPPR Aaron Subash George for jumping into the role of Invocator, merely 2 seconds before being called up. Thumbs up to the bros!

This meeting, we have three speakers. They are:

President Gopi Muniandy (KKATMC) delivered his CC4 in his Round #2 of the Competent Communicator Manual. In his speech Karpuravalli which means healers, he shared with us on remedies which can heal naturally.

Yours truly, delivered a speech entitled, The House You Built for ACB8 on Speech Project #3 (Moral of the Story) from the Storytelling Manual.

Richard A. Gontusan, DTM delivered his fifth CC10 entitled Can. If you think you can, you can :)

We also learned something from our dear T. C. Lim, DTM in his workshop, Know Your Audience. Thank you Sir for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
